A monument to those who fought the scourge of fascism in World War II, this spomenik doesn’t get the attention that other more celebrated contemporaries do but it will fascinate those who happen upon it. A relief showcases the usual suspects when it comes to socialist-era monuments; fearless fighters with weapon in tow, mothers and weak children, a family with an animal of labour and all the rest. The monument is largely neglected these days.
