Founded by four friends (whose first initials were combined to form the establishment's name) in the alpine town of Aviano in 1996, the brewery pub concept has apparently proven quite popular in Italy, as the chain has since spread to nearly a dozen different cities. The Trieste location is on the Lungomare waterfront roughly three-fourths of the way to Miramare Castle, and has great views of both the sea and city. In addition to several varieties of house beer, the real speciality here is a whole Cornish game hen (or Il Galletto) prepared according to a traditional Brazilian method and served with chips, sauce and bread - don't come all the way here and not try it!
