Sibelius Museum

It sounds borderline unbelievable, but the Sibelius Museum is the only museum in Finland dedicated solely to music. Outrageous! It could be a statement of intent, as Turku’s Sibelius Museum is just about as comprehensive as it gets. Named after Jean Sibelius (the greatest Finnish composter, if you were wondering), the museum is home to a wide range of instruments from all over the planet, as well as a plethora of manuscripts and documents. The life of Sibelius gets plenty of attention too, and deservedly so.
