With 24 halls and more than 400 works from leading French, Italian, Austrian, German, Russian, Polish and Ukrainian masters, this is the largest and arguably finest art museum in Ukraine. The collection of Polish art is unmatched outside of Poland. Pieces in this collection date from the 16th to 20th centuries and include impressive works by leading 19th century masters Artur Grottger and Jan Matejko. The pride of the museum, two world art masterpieces, is Georges de La Tour’s “Payment of Dues” and Tiziano Vecellio’s “Portrait of a Man”. The halls on the first floor regularly host thematic exhibitions. Last entrance one hour before close.

This collection is more valuable and cosmopolitan than you think as you enter the museum through the old Soviet-style foyer and cloakroom. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Lviv. Not only is this palace a historic location the entire street is historic and a perfect "Lviv" spot.

We were shocked when we saw a large collection of paintings by Italian Polish German Russian artists on the second floor of the Palace.The rooms of the palace is grand beautiful interior ... not surprising that many young people here is marriage because it especially luxurious atmosphere!
