When the workers leave this enclosed former industrial district, the grey buildings get imbued with a second wind as shabbily dressed locals of varied age trickle into slouchy hangouts like this one. Named after the legendary radio sets made here before the war by a Jewish-owned company, Elektrit pours craft stouts, IPAs and wheat beers, plays Germanic fun-electro under flashing coloured lights and glitterballs, and hosts weekend DJs spinning disco, funk and house. Street art is splashed on the walls and the snacks go no further than fried bread and potato chips. A perfect watering hole for those irked by the city centre's unstoppable gentrification.
