A back-to-basics hostel in the quirky Užupis district, accommodation comes in the usual dormitory style or, as is increasingly popular in hostels these days, with twin rooms for more privacy. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared, there’s also laundry facilities, plus, unlike some, there’s no annoying curfew.

This district is nice but the travel from it to the main centre can be a bit wearing if the weather is not good. For unknown reasons July is the rainiest month of the year in Vilnius! The place is a little lacking in atmosphere and hopefully you won't be put in a downstairs bunk that makes you relive all your primary school camping experiences. The receptionist was quirky bordering on the incompetent but he got the job done in the end even if he insisted on showing us how the UV machine could show us all the pretty patterns on the Lithuanian banknotes. We're tired! Let us go to sleep! Still, if we hadn't have stayed here though, we may never have ventured out here.
