Housed inside Vilnius’ first power plant, built in 1903, this tremendous museum is packed full of displays including authentic power plant equipment and a fascinating collection of machines and photographs dedicated to the post-war Soviet industrialisation of the city. On the top floors there are two interactive rooms for children complete with hands-on science exhibits in English and Lithuanian. A wind turbine and solar panels are installed on the roof that together help reduce the museum’s carbon footprint.
