Vilnius Cathedral Bell Tower

  Katedros 2      (+370) 60 01 20 80     more than a year ago

The Cathedral’s free-standing bell tower originally formed part of the city’s 13th-century defensive wall, and received its current look during the 19th century. Make your way to the top up a series of increasingly nerve-racking staircases that lead all the way to the bells themselves. At 17:00 they chime for several minutes and it’s possible to stand amongst them and soak up one of the most deafening and beautiful experiences Vilnius has to offer.
