The red carpet, the crown glass windows with guild emblems and the old wooden chairs give the Waag guild house on Münsterplatz a distinguished atmosphere full of history. They serve Swiss classics and fish and meat specialities, all interpreted in a modern way: the cordon bleu (made with veal of course) came rolled and the mashed potatoes were served in a small glass jar on the plate. The food and the service were reliable, the local wine rich - only the mix of cheese we had for dessert was a bit uninspired for a restaurant of this class.
