Monument to Mariners Lost at Sea
Erected in 1977 to honour all of the local sailors and fishermen lost at sea, this massive communist-style monument depicts a woman gazing out onto the Baltic hoping to catch a glimpse of her missing loved one.

Peter's Market
Since the second half of the 17th century Kuršu laukums served as the city’s main market, but in 1910 the Pētertirgus pavilion was built next door and has remained Liepāja’s central trading venue to this day.

Peter the Great House
Not only is this charming house one of Liepāja’s oldest buildings, it also has the distinction of having hosted the Russian tsar on his trip to Western Europe in 1697.

Seaside Park
Nearly 50 hectares of parkland await you right next to the beach. The park was created in the 1870s and over the years, the city’s most prominent citizens built grand wooden summer cottages here, many of which are Art Nouveau in style.

Walk of Fame
Although not quite as impressive as the one in Hollywood, this Walk of Fame boasts the hand prints of Latvia's most renowned rock and folk musicians and is appropriately located next to Latvia's 1st Rock Café.
