A Latvian winter
Winter is upon us once again so bring your furry hats, snow boots and scarves out of the closet and get ready for cold, dark nights until April or, God help us, even May. Latvia does however offer some very cool things to do in the cold season like snowboarding, ice-skating and even bobsleighing, so there’s no reason to reach for the Prozac just yet. Even if you’re not the outdoorsy type, there’s plenty of hot mulled wine to be had in cosy pubs in Old Riga.

In 2008 when Coyote was not so crowded we germans have been in there often. I think it was winter and also in spring. It never was a problem but later end of 2008 no chance anymore. There were enough LV people in and so they dont need us anymore. Bu[...]
I agree with Andis. It`s not like anyone forced you to go to these clubs/bars and buy something. You did it yourself! If you want to order the cheapest champaign, then do so, but if you don`t then do not arrgue for ordering the most expensive. We hav[...]

My friend got turned away at the door because they said they 'don't let Jews in', another friend was called a gypsy, and non-latvians are clearly not welcome and they let you know it. This club is racist and not even worth the effort. I hope this pl[...]
