Slick, pricey, popular with business people and mum's with prams who appreciate the upmarket quality and the fact that this coffee house is run with a business like efficiency. The smart wait staff all wear the black uniform of the informed intellectual worker. Wooden furniture creates the feeling of a well worn cafe while the orange décor takes care of the hip factor. Has more than 10 other locations including Ul. Pokrovka 18/18, bldg. 3 (metro Chistye Prudy) and Bol. Nikitskaya ul. 13/6, bldg.1 (metro Arbatskaya).

If you want to spend $55 for a salad mushroom risotto and iced tea (which cost about $10 itself) then Coffee Mania is the place for you. My problem is that I used to go to this place in the early days (like 2002 or 2003) before it became so trendy and expensive. I must learn on my next trip to overcome my nostalgia and find better value for money. If you don't mind the rip-off the service is very good the desserts very tempting and the atmosphere reminiscent of a Viennese cafe minus all the cigarette smoke. In recent years the hustle and bustle has left the place probably because so many expats left Russia.
