A Slovenian import, Mercator shopping centre houses the largest supermarket in Niš (also much bigger than the Belgrade Mercator). Aside from the 'hipermarket', there are also several other modern stores: Intersport, Avenija mode, Centar tehnike (electronics), Parfimerija Beautique (perfume) and a restaurant. It's seemingly always open (almost), and one of the few public buildings with specifically designated facilities for disabled people. Located in the east of the city.
