NI has 108 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) who pass laws and examine policy on matters transferred from Westminster such as health, education, the environment, social work and policing and justice. They also scrutinise the work of Ministers and hold Departments to account.

MLAs meet in Stormont Parliament Buildings, with Plenary sessions usually held from 12:00 (Mon) and 10:30 (Tues). Seats in the Public Gallery are allocated on a first come, first served basis on the day of the sitting and tickets are available from 30mins prior to the start of the session. Visitors wishing to visit the Public Gallery should report to the front reception area of Parliament Buildings. There is no charge for a visit to Parliament Buildings.
