Northern Ireland's Holiday at Home and High Street Stimulus schemes

more than a year ago
Northern Ireland's severely impacted tourism and retail sectors are getting a much-needed boost this autumn with two local government schemes designed to help reboot the economic recovery.

To encourage staycations, NI households can claim back 50% up to £100 from a two night or more stay in certified accommodation as part of the Holiday at Home Voucher Scheme.

Households can also apply for a 50% discount for attractions or tourism experience providers up to the value of £20.

Vouchers will be allocated on a first come first served basis with each household able to apply for one of each. Households can then claim their voucher money back by uploading their receipt and voucher details online.

The High Street Stimulus Scheme also launches this autumn when everyone in NI over 18 can apply online for a £100 pre-paid card to spend in person on their local high street.

Both schemes are part of the NI Executive's Economic Recovery Action Plan designed to inject our impacted leisure and retail economy with much-needed cash. More details will be launched nearer the time, including how to apply online.
