Bled is an ideal starting point for walking, the most aesthetically pleasing places being Pokljuka and Vintgar gorge. The peaks rising above the former, including Triglav, are also within striking distance for serious hikers. Marked trails in the vicinity are numerous, and will ensure the exploratory satisfaction of most people, in all seasons.
