Vilnius

Blue Lotus Indian and Thai restaurant

more than a year ago
For the seventh year, a restaurant offering its visitors to taste Thai and Indian cuisines has been operating under one roof in Vilnius Old Town.

Blue Lotus is possibly the only restaurant in Vilnius that serves both Thai and Indian cuisines. Although Indian and Thai dishes have similarities, such as the use of vibrant flavours and colourful sauces, there is no shortage of differences either. Indian food is characterised by the use of rich spices, whereas Thai cuisine is distinguished by an abundance of coconut milk and nuts. Thais are known for their soups while Indians – for their naans, i.e. bread baked in a tandoori oven. The two cuisines complement each other perfectly. The five chefs from India and Nepal employ classic and authentic culinary methods – some of the meals are baked and cooked in a tandoori oven, where the meat, seafood or Indian cheese retain its suppleness and remain delicately crusted. For genuine gourmands, the restaurant has an extensive (over 15 dishes!) vegan menu, with everything from tofu to lentils in Indian and Thai sauces.
Each dish is inspired by old traditions, therefore, the flavours of Blue Lotus will keep you returning for more and trying something new. Even when you're not at 16 Totorių Street – it's convenient, as all dishes can be ordered for takeaway, and delivered to your convenient location. It's a fantastic opportunity to take dishes for your outings, get some fresh air and enjoy delicious authentic foods prepared by the chefs.

Blue Lotus is a drop of Indian and Thai fusion in Vilnius Old Town, featuring a cosy ambience and flavourful food.
Exotic Indian and Thai delicacies will take you to the unrivalled grandeur of Asia and the Indian spirit!
