Olomouc might lag behind Brno and Ostrava when it comes to modern Moravia, but the third biggest city in the region might just be its most important in a historical context. It is also one of its most attractive, so getting to and from Olomouc from any decent sized town in the region isn’t difficult at all. The city is connected to Prague, Brno and Ostrava by train, and there are also direct services to Slovakia, Austria and Poland. The city is also well-connected when it comes to buses, although you’ll need to travel to one of its larger contemporaries in order to find an airport.
