A beneficiary of a visit from Polish celebrity restaurateur, Magda Gessler, who created Śledź i Chleb (Herring and Bread) in her version of the Kitchen Nightmares series. The herring board to start is a great way to try a small portion of a variety of herring dishes while the fish soup to follow is very good, despite the dill. There are 4 non-fish main courses, but we stuck with the butter fried cod with caramelised onions and mashed potato. It came with a level of presentation and taste we’d expect to pay more than 27zl for elsewhere while the kids fish and chips were excellent value. This being Gdynia, the prices are all competitive for the Tri-city and that mixed with the revamped menu and comfortable surroundings made this a very positive experience.
