Osowa Mountain

  Mosina     22 May 2026
Rising 131 metres above sea level, Osowa Góra (ENG: Owl Mountain) is the highest point within Wielkopolski National Park, offering a reminder that even Greater Poland’s famously gentle landscapes can occasionally break into a respectable hill. Surrounded by forests near Mosina, the area combines natural scenery with traces of its industrial and recreational past. Clay was once extracted here and hauled downhill by gravity-powered wagons, while the northern slope even hosted a ski lift during the 1970s and 80s—proof that local winters used to be taken rather more seriously. Today, Osowa Góra is best appreciated as a peaceful walking destination with broad woodland surroundings and a touch of unexpected history hidden among the trees.
