Built specifically as a hotel and first opened in 1912, this grand effort still oozes Art Deco pre-war elegance, and occupies a fantastic (and surprisingly quiet) corner right near the Czartoryski Museum and Planty. A veritable trip back in time from you moment you enter and see the grand staircase, gold-braided doormen and porters going about their daily business with professional panache amongst classic interiors. Rooms feature large beds, period reproduction furniture and wallpaper, mini-fridges and internet access. For those that love a hot bath, most of the rooms also feature a tub and there's a charming restaurant - Brasserie L’Olympique - serving French cuisine on the ground floor.
