Formerly owned by some of Poland's most famous families - the Lubomirskis and Czartoryskis - this spectacular 18th century palace has been converted into one of Kraków's top luxury hotels. Although the exterior is understated in its grandeur, guests will see the opulence that awaits immediately upon passing through the original baroque gate into the foyer, with its elaborately stuccoed archways. Throughout the building restored historical elements are brilliantly blended with contemporary design to create an intersection of history, art and modern luxury that earns its five stars with a predominance of stone, steel, brass, glass and marble. In addition to 70 rooms and apartments, the facilities include a spa, swimming pool, fitness centre, saunas, summer garden and even a roof terrace with views over the Old Town, as well as The Hours bistro and Artesse fine dining restaurant. Only minutes from the market square on a relatively quiet street, if you have the budget to stay here, few hotels are more worth it.
