Gromin Dolac is a tiny hamlet of peace today, but it hasn’t always been this way. Fewer than 10 people live here now, but the settlement’s structures are built around the imposing Obradić-Bevilaqua tower, constructed in the 17th century to defend against Ottoman invasions. To a large degree, Gromin Dolac is defined today by memory and nostalgia but provides a clarity of thought through that tranquillity. The settlement is a 10-minute drive east of Zavala, 20 minutes or so from Jelsa.
