Where to begin here? We first experienced the delights of Kompozitor after a long day of walking from Gdinj (14km or so, for the record), but all of the strain quickly melted away in the company of olive oil maestro Ivo Lučić. Ivo makes some of the best olive oil around and has the awards to prove it, and nipping into his oh-so-independent production centre is a must. Ivo is also a capable songwriter, and you can pick up a CD of his work while sampling some seriously good olive oil. Lučić is believed to have the largest number of olive trees in the area, and he puts them to good use in producing some of the best extra virgin olive oil (with a few variations) we’ve experienced.
