A small cluster of stone houses on gentle slopes make up Selca kod Starog Grada (Village by the Old Town, basically), a non-brand name for a triumph of peace. This tiny settlement ticks all of the boxes for that most enchanting of Hvar villages: a winsome church, an excellent winery, and views that seem to stretch for all eternity. The village is 5km or so from Stari Grad, and the walk is mighty pleasant.
