If you’re walking from Jelsa to the ruins of Galešnik, you should take the time to visit the remains of the Tor watchtower while you are there. For centuries, a location was only as secure as its watchtowers, and this post some 235 metres above the sea was an ideal vantage point for keeping an eye on the horizon. The views are unmatched (you’d be safe in assuming that from a watchtower), and while the hike to it can get a little sweaty, you’ll be rewarded with something special. It is generally recommended to approach Tor via Galešnik (the walk is much more pleasant), and we are inclined to agree. Yes, that was intentional.
