Jelsa celebrates Hvar’s dance heritage on June 18 & 25 and July 9 & 23 with "Naše užonce – da se ne zaboravidu", the Croatian Island Folklore Review, held at Trg Tome Gamulina. Folk groups from across Croatia join the local cultural association KUD Jelsa to showcase traditional dances, music and island customs.
On September 5, the Island Folklore Gathering brings together folklore groups from Croatian islands, presenting traditional dances, songs and costumes while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Adriatic islands.
