Railway Gate

Gvardeisky pr.     more than a year ago
Constructed in 1866-69 as the Eisenbahnhof Tor on the basis of plans by Ludwig von Aster, the architect also behind the nearby Ausfahl Gate, this was the exit/entrance point for the railway line to Pillau (now Baltysk). Now beautifully restored outside and a handy way of getting into or out of Victory Park, plans to introduce a permanent exhibition inside appear nevertheless to be on hold for the moment.
