The history of the old train station in Katowice goes back to the 1868 when the first station was opened along with the construction of the first rail line running from the city. The current building was opened in 1903 and for generations it served as a crucial junction enabling the transport of the coal and other resources. Though no longer serving its original purpose, it remains an important location on the city's map. Serving as a meeting point, a culinary spot, a concert and exhibition venue it represents Katowice's transformation from an industrial hub to a modern business, gastronomy and cultural center. ORO restaurant is a prime example of that fusion of the past and modernity. Its chef Marcin Babiarz will take you on a culinary journey through Europe presenting his signature modern interpretations of traditional recipes. All that served with a rich offer of wines in an elegant atmosphere.
