Friday Sep 1 - Sunday Oct 1
share
Inspired by the feeling of nostalgia around the playtime of his childhood, photographer James Mollison began documenting extracurricular life in Great Britain by focusing on photographing local playgrounds. He soon expanded his project to other countries like Argentina, Bolivia, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Nepal, Sierra Leone and the USA. The result is a collection of works that not only capture the movement of childhood play through time-lapse photography, but also come to symbolise the concept of global diversity. Mollison was born in Kenya in 1973 and was raised in Great Britian. His works have been published in magazines like Colors, the New York Times, and the Paris Review.
