Robert Schumann's Quartet in A major begins with a tender motif, a descending perfect fifth, often referred to as the "Clara motif," symbolizing his call to his beloved wife, Clara. Antonín Dvořák's Second Quintet incorporates the lively rhythms of the Czech dance, the furiant, skillfully blending lyrical and playful elements. As the piece progresses, the music becomes increasingly dramatic. Tonight, the renowned Silesian string quartet musicians will be joined by pianist Michał Szymanowski, promising a captivating performance.
