Located in the Płaszów district, about 5km southeast from the market square, this artificial reservoir is the most popular swimming, sailing, sunbathing and recreation destination within city limits. Bagry features three wild beaches and a bathing area (lifeguards on duty at the main beach daily from roughly July 1 to end of August, 10:00-18:00) where you can take a free dip in the regularly monitored and certified clean water. The recent site of much investment, the surrounding park features a children's playground, barbecue grills, benches and hammocks. There's also a seasonal food truck park at the main beach, and 2022 will see the unveiling of new volleyball courts and a building with proper toilets (praise be). In terms of water recreation, Bagry has long harboured two marinas and two sailing schools which gives you a idea of its size; kayak, pedalboat and SUP board rental is available June to end of September. Not the easiest place to get to, but worth the trip, the best way is probably by taxi, or take trams 11 or 20, getting off at 'Rzebika' from which the lake is a 10-15min walk.
