Krakow

Bagry Lagoon

Located in the Płaszów district, about 5km southeast from the market square, this artificial reservoir is the most popular swimming, sailing, sunbathing and recreation destination within city limits. Bagry features three wild beaches and a bathing area (lifeguards on duty from June 15th to August 15th, 10:00 - 18:00) where you can take a free dip in the regularly monitored and certified clean water. The recreation area also has a children's playground, two marinas, and kayak, sailboat, pedalo, SUP board and canoe rental (June until end of September), as well as food options. Not the easiest place to get to, but worth the trip, the best way is probably by taxi, or take trams 11 or 78, getting off at 'Rzebika' from which the lake is a 10-15min walk.
