As December brings the year to a close it surely has something for everyone to enjoy. Beginning with the grand switch on of the Christmas illuminations by the town’s Mayor, assisted by the parish priest and singer Alenka Godec, the evening kicks off a full month of celebrations. Each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in front of the Prešeren theatre you can enjoy performances from various musicians, as well as concerts in Glavni Trg by, Nina Pušlar, Avtomobili, Eurovision Choir of the Year, Carmen Manet, Lado Leskovar and the Abba tribute band. The finale on New Year’s Eve will be a performance by the band Pop Design and at the stroke of midnight you can enjoy dancing the Viennese waltz as the sky rains confetti.
