The new cafe of Galicia Jewish Museum, Lauder Szancer is worth noting as the city's only kosher cafe. In addition to delicious coffee, tea and other drinks, they offer snacks and sandwiches (kosher and non-), as well as some kosher products. Located inside the museum (no ticket required), the cafe is named in honour of Ronald S. Lauder - the American-Jewish political activist, art collector and benefactor of the cafe, and the local Szancer family - for their role in strengthening Polish-Jewish relations and contributions to Polish culture and art (notably illustrator Jan Marcin Szancer, whose beloved illustrations of Jan Brzechwa's poems are widely known).
