[closed] Remi's Place
What we can tell you is that this newly opened eatery on Gornji Trg is a much welcomed addition to the city's culinary scene, offering what can be described as cuisine that's haute for prices that are most certainly not. While not a French restaurant per se, the menu is inspired by the perceptibly Parisian gastronomic stylings, which should come as no surprise since the head chef learned his craft in the kitchens of the City of Lights. Each dish offers a meticulously devised fusion of methods, ingredients and flavours - transforming even something as humble as the sandwich into a mouthwatering culinary work of art.
However, despite all this grandiose praise, at its heart Remi's Place is a laid-back, friendly neighbourhood spot to relax and grab a bite to eat with friends, a quiet corner a world away from the hustle and bustle of not only the city but modern times in general. When it comes to more pragmatic concerns, prices are kept pocket-friendly in part thanks to a hyperlocal focus on ingredients and suppliers, as well as a sustainable zero waste approach in the kitchen. Born in the times of the Corona quarantine, their story is just getting started, but it's one that we'll be closely following, as it's all but certain to lead to some interesting gourmet gastronomic experiences!
