Originally a Renaissance-era brick-gothic building, the Eskens' House was rebuilt in the 19th century, leaving only its superb sandstone entrance as a link to the past. This portal is attributed to Willem van den Blocke, a Flemish Renaissance sculpter whose family is responsible for many prominent buildings in Gdańsk.
