Sibiu is not exactly the nightlife capital of Romania, but there is still plenty for night owls to get up to, not least during the summer when the terraces stay open until very late.

Sibiu is also one of the most culturally switched-on cities in Romania, so look out for free concerts being held in Piata Mare, especially during the summer and at Christmas and New Year.
