Kirov Park on Yelagin Island is always a good option. The ice is artificial which means you can skate even when the temperatures rise above zero. Every two hours the rink gets closed down for half an hour in order to resurface the ice – this may be inconvenient for those who like to skate for hours on end but at least the quality is always top notch.
