Freshly Ground Rosebank

You may know it as a small coffee shop tucked at the bottom of Keyes Art Mile's Trumpet Building but Freshly Ground is no longer just that. After it was made bigger and given a refurb, it's transformed into a fully fledged restaurant with quirky wall murals you can't help but take a picture of.

With the addition of a fully licensed bar, drinks options have moved beyond your favourite brew. The menu has also been expanded to include breakfast as well as lunch and dinner options like toasted sandwiches, salads, pasta, burgers, flame grilled meat cuts, and desserts and cakes served from a tempting display.

A favourite on the menu is the creamy chicken tikka masala pasta. If you like a decent amount of heat, this is the one for you. It's served with tender chicken, a crispy sweet potato wedge and a delicious sprinkling of parmesan. 
 
And when loadshedding hits, you'll be pleased to know that every table has a plug point. Such luxury! The coffee is good (the name still rings true, even though they've dropped the 'coffee' at the end in move away from identifying as a coffee shop) and the food tasty. 

It's a casual spot that serves many needs,  whether you're a cyclist or runner that needs a quick snack or a hearty breakfast, a busy hustler that needs their coffee on the go, a parent looking for a quiet lunch before school a pick-up, or perhaps you're in search of somewhere to work from other than your home office or a spot to meet up with friends over dinner. This is the space where you can come for a coffee or a proper drink and something delicious to eat while you enjoy the buzz of Keyes Art Mile.
