If you spend just a few minutes walking around Velenje, you'll notice the colourful flowers hanging from balconies, looking out of window, lining back terraces, and decorating public spaces. Many of these floral creations are in some way connected to the large PUP Garden Centre, which has roots in Velenje going back more than five decades.
