200 unique archaeological items will tell the story of 700 years, 5 different cities (Gdansk, Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Kernavė) and their inhabitants, in which footwear becomes the witness of changing times, technology, people's self-awareness, and attitudes towards the everyday shoe we wear today.
Visitors of the exhibition will be able to see and touch the reconstruction of the footwear restored according to the actual archaeological finds, and to try it on during special educational activities.
