Vilnius has been depicted in art works over various periods in various aspects and was presented to the public more than once. The purpose of this exhibition is to show the city during the difficult years of war and post-war, including the period of 1939–1956. The exhibition aims to reveal the city of Vilnius as it was seen and how it was depicted by artists who lived and created in the capital at that time in particularly dire conditions.
