Guaranteed to underwhelm (or your money back), the Polinka is nevertheless an interesting oddity on the Wrocław map. This gondola lift spanning the Oder River was actually never meant to be a tourist attraction; it was built in 2013 by the Wrocław University of Science and Technology to facilitate easy travel between the university’s main campus and its new GeoCentrum building on the other bank of the river. The views aren’t spectacular and the journey takes just under three minutes, but if you’re looking for an easy way to cross the water in the vicinity of the Hydropolis museum, want to impersonate a Wrocław undergrad for a day, or are a hard-core tram geek, this just might be for you. Operating hours subject to change.
