Wroclaw

Sky Tower Viewpoint

ul. Powstańców Śląskich 95 ,   Południe         more than a year ago
Completed in 2012, Wrocław boasts the third tallest building in Poland, which rises some 212m into the atmosphere. As the city’s only skyscraper, Sky Tower literally looms alone over the city centre, and its vertical thrust can be seen from many miles away. Comprising a small city in and of itself, with residential apartments, offices, shops, restaurants, entertainment, and more over its 50 floors, tourists have plenty of reasons to visit this modern architectural marvel, including a 24-lane bowling alley, fitness centre, sculptures and murals scattered throughout, occasional events (check online), and soon the indoor model train exhibit Kolejkowo will make its home here. The highlight, however, is the year-round indoor viewing point on the 49th floor. At a height of 200 metres, this is the highest panoramic view point in Poland, and accessed by an elevator which whisks you to the top in less than a minute; entry is on the hour from 09:00-20:00 (last entry), Fri & Sat 09:00-21:00, Sun 10:00-20:00. Located only minutes from the Old Town, take trams 7 or 20, getting off at 'Wielka.'
