Sooner or later most tourists visit the touristy Hato Caves during their stay on the island, but anyone seeking a bit more adventure should pay a visit to the nearby Kueba di Pachi. The ‘Grandfather’s Cave’ is part of a system of three different caves, although this one is actually more of a big hole in a wall than a real cave. Despite this, it’s a fun way of getting some adrenaline and meeting some bats along the way. Once you've passed these little flying creatures, you're rewarded by a magnificent view of a lunar landscape. The walk is reasonably tough, but anyone whose reasonably in shape should be able to enjoy this off-the-beaten-track climb. Park near the windmill. Just look for the yellow painted stones.
