Traditionally Turnhout has been a genuine printer's town and as early as 1796 it already had several printers. The rich history of this trade, which some say is becoming obsolete, can be discovered here where passionate volunteers demonstrate the labour-intensive process of typesetting and explain all there is to know about the repercussions of industrialisation on this age-old trade. In short, the past is brought back to life by archaic, yet functioning machines here.
