We do love ourselves a beer festival, especially ones that take place in medieval fortresses. Banja Luka’s own version of Oktoberfest is upon us, a weekend-long celebration of all things pivo in magical surroundings, with live music and hearty food that couldn’t be better paired if it was made in a special factory for such things. The range of beers will be impressive, with local and international brands waiting to be enjoyed. Entrance costs 5KM, which is an absolute steal, and the whole thing is free on Sunday, although it is only open from midday until 18:00 on that final day. There aren’t enough beer festivals in the world as far as we’re concerned.
