The largest tourism event in Serbia and the Southeast Europe region takes place at the Belgrade Fair at the end of February each year. For some 40 years the Belgrade Tourism Fair has been the most important meeting place for regional businesses in the tourism industry, and in recent years has increasingly become important for international participants as well, with 340 international exhibitors coming from 55 countries in 2018 – a reflection of the growing role that the tourism sector plays in the Serbian economy and development. Since 2003, the event has been a member of the European Tourism Trade Fairs Association (ETTFA), and since 2005 both the Catering Equipment Fair HORECA and the BEO Wine Fair have been held in conjunction with the main event. While it's an important event for professionals, it's also a great time for the general public, with food, drinks, music and lots more taking place and an admission price of only 300 dinars.
