ABC of Travel

You don’t need an established producer of travel guides to tell you, but travel is big business and big news in the modern age. How have we got to this point? That is the question asked by Berlin’s Kunstbibliothek in this excellent exhibition, one that coincides with the institutions 150th birthday. From medieval pilgrimages all the way to the mass tourism of the 21st century, the history of travel is explored in this thoughtful and invigorating collection. It ends at the beginning of January (January 6, to be exact), so don’t miss out.
