What more can be said about the world’s largest tourism fare? The biggest day on the international travel industry calendar, Berlin’s ITB Tourism Fair is a must-visit for anyone with tourism front and centre of their lives. This isn’t just for networking however; the fair is a dream come true for anyone with particularly active sea legs. If you’re looking for a new part of the world to explore, the chances are you’ll find some inspiration here.
Nearly 200,000 people visit the fair every year, with around 10,000 exhibitors from almost 200 countries filling the halls of the Messe. Experience Oman is the major partner for this year’s festival, so it is safe to expect much in the way of Omani magic from one of our all-time favourite Middle Eastern nations.
The ITB was established in 1966 with just nine exhibitors (including Iraq), and it took less than 15 years for this to become the biggest day on the tourism calendar. This isn’t your average tourism fare, oh no; this is an exercise in the magic of every corner of the globe, an excited embracing of everything planet Earth has to offer, and by everything we truly mean everything.
Put bluntly, this is a tourism fair done right. No stone is left unturned in the search of new experiences, and we fully expect to add another page of desired destinations to our bucket list once the curtain comes down on another successful ITB. We’ll see you there.ITB International Tourism Fair, 5-7 March 2024. Messegelände (Convention Center), Messedamm 22, S Messe Nord or Messe Süd, www.itb-berlin.com.
